Some People Can Just Spot Trends
I have a good friend who seems to always be ahead of the curve when it comes to identifying trends that are taking place in business and society. As you might expect, he is an entrepreneur and one who is very good at what he does because he always seems to get in on the cusp of things and then get out before they go downhill. He always just seems to know which are the best franchises to buy.
For example, there was a point in time when he was seeking to invest in a new turnkey business. Somehow he sniffed out the early emergence of ebay stores and realized that these could be a highly profitable method of making money. He started more than one and every single one of them did well because ebay stores experienced a big boom just after he got involved in them.
I wish that I had that kind of keen business sense. I would love to start businesses and make money off of them quickly so that I could move on to the next thing. But I just don’t have whatever it is that he has that makes it easy for him to find the next big thing before anyone else realizes that it’s getting big. I guess I’ll just have to turn to him for advice on these things!
