Memory Preservation
Some things in our lives are irreplaceable. If you have ever had that delicate piece of China handed down to you from your great, great, grandmother break, then you know how much it can hurt. Or if you’ve ever lost that piece of jewelry given to you by a loved one, you know what it’s like to want to turn back time. Well, I can’t turn back time but I am offering a service that will help you protect at least some of those precious life memories. I am starting up a brand new cleaning company that is completely organic and will get stains out of clothes that you thought for sure were completely ruined. At my company, we think on a much larger scale than simply “cleaning.” We feel that we are “preserving” memories. It all began when my best friend came to me completely heart broken to find her baby’s Christening gown had been horribly stained. Being her one and only child, she had cherished everything from her daughter’s baby hospital wrist band to her college graduation cap and gown. When rooting through her assortment of tangible memories, my friend discovered that the long, silky white gown her baby girl had worn had somehow become doused in dark tanning lotion. Having recently undergone some renovations in the house, my friend realized the builders had accidentally pushed her baby-memory box dangerously close to her vacation box of snorkels and tanning lotions.
She put the gown through several delicate washes but to no avail. She took it into the dry cleaners but they also could not seem to get the tanning lotion out of the silk. It was then it hit me. I had been washing my own clothes with an organic mixture I grown in my own backyard. I asked my friend if I could try my handmade soap in the gown and sure enough the dark brown stain came completely out.
My friend was so overjoyed, she suggested I share this magical way of preserving memories with the rest of the world. So here it is. If you have something precious to you which has become soiled in some way, it would be my pleasure to try and salvage that memory for you.
