Why Did I Have Children?
I can’t believe I’m in this situation. I promised my wife that I would pay for our son’s college tuition, but it is absolutely killing me. I’m selling the house and downgrading to a big apartment and pulling out my 401k to make it work. Johnny says he’ll take out a loan, but I’m not letting him saddle that kind of debt. I’ve taken out an online payday loan, two debt consolidation loans for the debt that I’m about to have, and I’ve put it all on the best credit cards I could find, so that at least I can get miles to go visit him too.
This was important for me to do. I watched him grow up, from wearing Osh Kosh to heading to the mall for the latest style and trend. This is going to be such a wonderful turn of events for him; he’ll get the education I never got and he’ll have every option, including traveling, being a big corporate mover and shaker, and maybe even coming back with his dear old dad and being a carpenter. Who knows? He’ll have every option he’s ever dreamt of and more besides; it will teach him to be confident and seize the world by the collar. I can’t wait to see him do it.
