Becoming a Tattoo Artist
I think I finally know what I’m going to do with my life. I’ve always struggled with finding the right career path. Let’s face it, I’m not exactly the 9-5 suit and tie type of person.
So, it suddenly hit me today. I’m going to enter training to become a tattoo artist. I’ve always loved to draw, but I never thought about trying to make a living doing it.
Now, I’m going to be drawing all sorts of dragonfly tattoos, Libra tattoos, and flower tattoos. I’ve never used an actual tattoo gun before, but how different could it really be from drawing with a pencil and paper?
There is one slight problem. I have to find a local tattoo artist who is willing to take me under their wing to train me. The catch is it needs to be someone good. You don’t want to get your training from some guy operating out of his basement. I need someone reputable who can really show me the ropes.
I’ve already got my portfolio in order. Now, I just have to essentially cold call at these tattoo shops until I find someone willing to help me out. Hopefully, I’ll get lucky and get hooked up with a great artist.
Wish me luck!
