The Smoking Gun, Undone
Good dental hygiene was ingrained into me by my parents. To this day, I brush and floss regularly. It’s just something automatic for me. That’s good because I never forget to care for my teeth; I’ve only had one cavity in almost 45 years. On the other hand, it’s so automatic that I never really think about my teeth. I guess that’s why it was so surprising to wake up one day and realize that I had badly stained teeth. I smoked like an angry volcano for 25 years and, lo and behold, my teeth ended up a gross yellow color.
As part of my decision to quit smoking, I wanted to get rid of these beaming yellow mementos. I tried a few of the regular commercial whitening products, but without real permanent results. When I asked my dentist why, he recommended that I look into cosmetic dentistry, you know, the professionals.
I found a San Jose dentist close to home who I thought could help me out, if anyone could. After he explained his dental whitening process, I was sold. It was actually fast and easy. I finally feel like I’ve completely turned over my new leaf, and I’m starting fresh with a beautiful brand new smile to boot!
