Dad Has Been Bugging Me
My dad has been getting all over my case lately, and frankly I’m getting a little sick of it. Of course you are probably thinking “oh boy, some snot nosed kid is about to go on a silly rampage.” Well that really isn’t the case at all. My dad recently retired and is in his sixties. I’m in my thirties am married, own my own home and recently had our first child with my wife.
Obviously the wife and I waited longer than most of our friends because we wanted to get through college and establish ourselves in our careers. We are both dentists and share a practice together. You see, I told you I wasn’t some snot nosed kid about to off on a rampage!
What dad has been bugging me about is getting long term disability insurance. We obviously have medical insurance, but that won’t pay the bills like disability insurance will if something happens like if I get sick or hurt and can no longer work. And with the new baby it’s not like the wife is working much anymore. So I’m going to listen to my dad and pony up for the specific dentist disability insurance I found the other day.
