Creative Ideas For Your Home
Watching television makes me want to redecorate my home and redo my backyard. Shows on Home and Garden TV leave me looking around my home, planning my next project and upgrade. The reality shows that redecorate a room or make changes to the yard make me wish someone would show up at my door and tell me I’ve been selected for a home or garden makeover. Since I have never been selected for one of those shows, I decided to give my backyard a facelift by adding a few key items to spruce it up a bit.
Our backyard was just grass and a few trees. We’d added a patio when we moved in but it was just a cement slab without any personality. With limited financial resources, we wanted to make a stone patio leading up to a garden wall fountain. We could do the work ourselves and buy and install the wall fountains without assistance of a professional. After buying wood at the hardware supply store, we built a trellis over our existing patio giving the yard shade and a new style. Our outdoor garden wall fountains attracted birds to the yard. We stocked fish in the fountains and gave our yard a new focal point. It’s not HGTV but it turned out nice and I didn’t have to wait to be selected by a television show.
