Blogs May (or May Not) Be Great Resources
You obviously read blogs to get information which is how you ended up on this site. That’s terrific because blogs can be a really great source of information. However, you also have to realize that some blogs are biased and they may not have the complete truth about the information that you’re seeking.
For example, let’s say that you wanted to find out information about the best health insurance in West Palm Beach. You would want to read FL health insurance blogs to get that information. There are some great blogs out there on that topic that could provide you with the education that you need to make a wise choice about your FL health insurance. However, there are also blogs from health insurance companies that may be biased so that you don’t get the complete picture about what is best.
To counteract the bias in information coming from blogs, you need to do two things. First, make sure that you’re double-checking the credibility of the blogs that you read. Second, make sure that you read many different blogs so that you get a diverse range of information and can make informed choices using the multiple resources that are available to you.

Many people run blogs not to give out information, but to make money. A lot of times that you see a blog slanted a certain way, it’s slanted to make money or to maximize profit.
Those types of sites tend to be very obvious. If you are seeing one company talked about in almost every post or all of the links or advertising is central to one company, then you know the company is controlling that blog.
Sometimes you will run across sites that are subsidized by other companies. I see this a lot with poker sites. One of my friends writes for a blog that is subsidized by an online poker company. When he mentions anything about the company, he has to shine a positive light on it.
