Exactly what I needed
This is great; I just found an amazing SFTP hosting package that allows for unlimited FTP storage on a server that is located in my hometown. This is great news because the closer you are to a server, the faster the transfer speed is. If the server is located in a tier 1 or tier 2 network, then I could be expecting a great speed increase over my current 10 kilobytes a second upload, and 100 kilobytes a second download. Because of the fast speed I am able to post pictures in half the time it used to take. Of course, speed had never really been an issue up until now.
My girlfriend and I have become quite the shutterbugs taking huge amounts of pictures when we go on vacation. Naturally, our families want to see all the pictures, especially when we are working our way to new cities and to new adventures. So, when we are out and about, you can often find us at the local Internet café uploading the latest mug shots of each other. Now instead of just emailing them to our families, all we have to do is upload to the FTP servers and our family and friends get instant access to all the pictures we’ve uploaded.
