How to Teach Golf
You love the game of golf. You think that you’d make a pretty gold golf teacher. The problem? You don’t know how to go about starting to teach golf.
Here are some of the steps that you should take to become a golf teacher:
- Take a class at a golf school. Even if you are great at the game of golf, you should take some classes in the sport. This will allow you to see what it is that teachers do when trying to teach golf to students. Observe and learn!
- Create a set of instructional manuals or a powerpoint presentation outlining your plan for golf lessons. You need to have a plan down on paper.
- Get a golf job of any kind. You may not be able to start teaching golf immediately but you can at least get a job in the industry to put you that much closer to your goal of becoming a golf teacher.
- Start advertising that you are offering golf lessons. Soon enough, you will find that you have students knocking on your door.
Learning how to teach golf is like learning anything - do your research, get in some practice and let others know that you’re interested in helping them.
